Min. Derek L. Jackson
Sr. is the President and
CEO of JoyLand Records. Derek has
contributed his gifts for over 30 years in the gospel music
industry as a drummer, bass guitarist, songwriter and
producer. Derek has worked with some of the true pioneers of
gospel music such as Rev. James Cleveland, Dorothy Norwood,
Albertina Walker, Rev. Andrae Crouch, Rev. Timothy Wright, Rev.
Alvin Darling, Rev. Donnie Harper and a host of many
other great artists. Because of his love for gospel music and his
passion for ministry, Derek formed JoyLand Records
to help spread God's word through the medium of music, to give an
invitation and offer reconciliation to a true and risen saviour,
Jesus Christ. |

Rev. Alphonsus E.
Platt is Vice President of
Operations for JoyLand Records.
Alphonsus has contributed his gifts for 30 years in the gospel
music industry as a drummer, songwriter,manager, and producer.
He made a cameo appearance in the movie "Dream Team" with
Michael Keaton and Christopher Lloyd. He has worked with reknowned
gospel artists such as Dorothy Norwood, Rev. James Cleveland, Rev.
Milton Biggham and Rev. Alvin Darling. Alphonsus is an ordained
minister of the gospel. He currently pastors the Nia Fellowship
Baptist Church in East Orange, New Jersey. He has been working with
Derek L. Jackson Sr. most of his professional career. They continue
to be longtime friends who are determined to find artists with an
unusual passion to spread God's word through the medium of music,
not for fame and fortune but for ministry. |
